Pizza Express launched a new campaign celebrating the British Summer. The idea, concieved by Ad Agency Otherway highlights the positivity of Brits towards summer - Come Rain or Shine, Summer ON -
We created the story in reverse, starting from the summer on logo and going to the start, i.e. the Pizza Express logo.
Clouds cover the logo and rain introduces the 'come rain' line. An umbrella opens up to cover the title from the rain and this changes into the sun which eventually animates into the Summer On logo.
Echoic did a fantastic job on the music. We had to produce custom music based on the style of the Pizza Express live band touring Britain over the summer (The Douballers). Echoic brought a 4 piece band into the studio to record the music and then mixed in sound design and cut it to 5, 10 and 15 second ads.
